dropcap ick Smith is an alumnus of the State University of New York. He has an Associate in Applied Science degree in Advertising Art and Design from Farmingdale College (1991) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Arts from Old Westbury College (1996).

rick smith ufoteacher    Since 1991, Smith has allowed himself to be a conduit of 'downloaded' extraterrestrial information, turning such conversations with what he refers to as 'Mother' (aka. the Crone) into the golden thread of visual communication that emanates throughout his work as an artist, poet and lecturer. The artist's exploration into this realm resulted in an evolving process requiring subject and medium to become symbolically and metaphorically enmeshed with one another. Though he began working in acrylics, this exploration led him down the path of a mixed-media artist and graphic designer.

Smith coined the phrase 'extraterrestrial downloading' back in the early 1990's with his artwork at a time when such ideas or concepts where just beginning to penetrate the general public's awareness. Since then, the phrase — inspired by the hi-tech industrial revolution of the 90's — has spread far and wide, becoming a household term in today's world. He gets a good laugh out of this knowing that if he had a nickel for everytime someone used the term, he'd be a very rich man.

However, there is an old understanding in civil rights history that says if you want to get something accomplished, you have to let others take the credit for what you did. Smith knows this better than anyone, operating below the paranormal radar until someone actually trips across his web site and starts asking questions.

The focus of his work, which includes paintings, mixed media sculpture, installation work, photo etchings, conference and seminar lectures, as well as writing and poetry, deals directly with the Abduction Phenomena, extraterrestrial intervention and its relationship to the Moorish Legacy and the Masonic Agenda.

As an artist, Smith redeems the abduction phenomena away from falsehood, delivering unto the viewer a message of catalystic intuition with his first series — An Experiment In Humanity. Ranging in areas of politics, religion, domestic violence and sociological evolution, the far reaching implications set forth by the artist's work remain startling and hard hitting to this day.

As a lecturer and public speaker — a teacher of the masses — he takes the audience on an educational and riveting journey through the Moorish Legacy, the Masonic Agenda, Repto-Sirian Fascism and the Lamp of Illumination – exploring all things extraterrestrial and discussing the metaphoric, sociological and historical symbolisms therein and how they relate to the human condition.

As a poet and writer, Rick goes one step further, exposing his own intimate, enlightening and horrific experiences, scenarios and confrontations for the first time with Legions Of Light / Armies Of Darkness, an autobiographical account about extraterrestrial bloodlines, the age old struggle for civil rights and the raw passion of true love found amidst the backdrop of a Hybrid War. This being his first book, it represents an extension and parallel inspiration from his work with An Experiment In Humanity.

Rick Smith has been working in the field of commercial art and graphic design since 1996, offering print and web design services through his own business, Smith and Smyth Creations LLC. His most ambitious design project to date has been SacredSpiritTours.com, which premiered on the Internet in June 2009. Smith is working on a second book and considering possibly returning to school for a Masters degree. He resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the United States. You can contact him here.

Born in Tampa, Florida, he lived in New York (Long Island) most of his life since childhood. Moving to the suburbs of Philadelphia for a year, he then made the now infamous cross-country trek in August, 2008, to Albuquerque, New Mexico. You can read all about Smith's amazing adventure across the United States of America on his blog. Here's the direct link: New Mexico - it's all part of the plan!
